Load resistance
Istituto Giordano
Test report n. 114009
Test Mode.
The sample to be tested consists of a crystal sink with dimensions of 600 x 550 mm and made from sheet of float glass 15 mm thick.
The sample was installed on a test bench where it was subjected to an increasing load applied at the earlier draft.
- 1st mounting condition: with accessories supplied stand consisting of a pair of brackets in chrome plated brass rod, diameter 20 mm, mounted to 570 mm wheelbase and a bracket in brass plate 60 mm x 5 applied to the single lever mixer supplied to the sink;
- 2nd mounting condition: with accessories and two support columns of shelves tightening applied between the free ends of the shelves and test bench.
- 3rd mounting condition: with shelves included stiff as provided in the 2nd mounting condition and a bolt connecting the bracket in place of single lever mixer; between bolt, sink and bracket were included steel washers with dimensions that closely resembles the conditions of entry as possible similar to those generated by the single lever mixer.

Test Mode.
The sample to be tested consists of a shaped crystal sink with dimensions of 600 x 550 mm and made from sheet of float glass 15 mm thick.
The sample was installed on a test playing conditions for fitting similar to those of normal installation, then it was subjected to impact by rigid body consisting of a steel ball with a mass of 440 g in giudia fall from a height of 500 mm.
The impact of the ball are shown in the photograph n.2.

Resistance to temperature changes

Test report n. 114011
Test Mode.
The sample to be tested consists of a shaped crystal sink with dimensions of 600 x 550 mm and made from sheet of float glass 15 mm thick.
The sample was installed in a thermostatic chamber at a test assembly recreating conditions similar to those of normal installation, and then was subjected to successive thermal cycles consisting of:
- Conditioning of the sink to 0 ° C for 24 hours;
- Fill the sink until the too full hole of hot water left for 5 minutes;
- Emptying of the sample and subsequent filling with water at 10 ° C.
The tests were performed in succession with hot water at a temperature of 60 ° C, 65 ° C, 70 ° C, 75 ° C, 80 ° C and 85 ° C.

Test report.
In the 1st mounting condition test has been stopped when the load reached a value of 677 N due to the significant deformation of the cantilever support (see photo 1).
In the 2nd mounting condition the test was stopped when the load reached the value of 1568 N unthreading because of the ring that locks the mixer to the sink. In the 3rd mounting condition the test was continued until the breaking of the basin that has taken place with a load of 2443 N.

Test report.

The impact of the ball at points designated by the numbers 1, 2 and 3 has resulted in fingerprints with a diameter of about 4 / 5 mm.
The impact of the ball in step 4 resulted in the rupture of the basin.

Test report.

The sample was broken, after about 60 seconds from filling with water at 85 ° C.
